The Iranians have long been interested in arming Palestinian terrorists in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank), and that goal now has a vision to go with it: Turning the heartland of Israel into a nightmare. Iranian PressTV reported that the number two leader in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) said that “someday, not very far from now, the West Bank will turn into a hell for the security of the Zionists, as the sons of the West Bank and Gaza Strip will join hands.”

The Fars News Agency linked the comments of the IRGC official— Brigadier General Hossein Salami—to Iran’s hope for weapons to reach the West Bank. That wish, Fars pointed out, was expressed by Iranian leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei just last week.

Khamenei stated that Iran already helps Palestinian terrorist groups, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad. He then reiterated his belief that the West Bank should also be armed and “this will certainly happen.”

This comes around the same time as a report from Fars News Agency in which the head of the Iranian volunteer militia, the Basij, claimed there are plans to provide weapons to the West Bank.

“As today, Gaza has its own defensive industry and they have stood on their feet, we also try to implement the same plan in the West Bank,” Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi was quoted as saying.

In the PressTV report, IRGC second-in-command Salami highlighted the fact that Hezbollah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad can fire rockets across Israel. Iran provides assistance to all three terror groups.

That assistance could get more personal. Naqdi claimed that millions of Iranians have volunteered to join the fight and “are ready” to be sent to Syria and Gaza. Naqdi also said that official Iranian troops were not needed in Gaza.

But Iranian-designed weapons are reportedly already there, and next, Iran wants to provide that assistance and more to the Palestinian terrorists living in the heart of Israel.
