Iran verbally flexed its missile muscles this week. Despite the nuclear deal with major world powers, Iran is still thinking about striking Israel. And they even threatened to take the Israelis out completely.
Amidst the “all options are on the table” threats from the US, Iran threatened that if they’re attacked, they will seek to wipe out the State of Israel as we know it. “Lots of options are on the table for Iran, and they will receive crushing responses, one of which would be elimination of the Zionist [Israeli] regime,” a key Iranian military official was quoted as saying by the Fars News Agency. How do they plan to do that? Missiles.
The head of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said Iran’s missiles can already reach Israel, according to Fars. He also claimed that for now they weren’t working in extending order phentermine 37.5 from mexico their missile range. Yeah, right. Like they aren’t interested in working on nuclear weapons?
In a separate Fars story, it was reported Iran is planning to launch another research rocket into space next week. In case you’re wondering, space programs can help develop intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM). Israel today is in range, so is New York next? Unless you believe the claims Iran only wants to explore space with it’s own astronauts.
And this is the risk to the current freeze period in sanctions pressure on Iran. Sure old sanctions are still in place, but Iran gets a little breathing room to do all the extra work on nukes. Then all Iran will have to do is make enough weapons grade nuclear fuel whenever they’re ready to go nuclear. The missiles will be ready for it.
Obviously, this bears watching.
