The principal Palestinian terrorist behind the murder of Rabbi Raziel Shevach was killed on Tuesday morning by Israeli security forces when he came out armed following the discovery of his hideout, according to the Israel Security Agency. Ahmed Nassar Jarrar, of the town of Jenin, personally participated in the shooting that killed Rabbi Shevach. He was found on Tuesday carrying an M-16 rifle and explosives on his person. No Israelis were hurt in the raid to arrest the terrorist, noted the ISA in the press release.

The terrorist’s violent impact murdering a father of six could have been even worse. Jarrar’s terror cell was “involved in other attempts to carry out and plan terrorist attacks,” according to the ISA investigation of other cell members.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the achievement of justice for Rabbi Shevach.

“Several days ago I told Rabbi Raziel Shevach’s widow that we would catch the murderers and last night the mission was completed,” said Netanyahu on Tuesday in comments released by his office. “The security forces will catch whoever tries to attack Israeli citizens and we will deal with them to the fullest extent of the law.”

Netanyahu praised the security forces for carrying out a “determined and complex operation” to catch the terrorist and said that the murderer who slew Rabbi Itamar Ben-Gal on Tuesday would also be brought to justice.

In separate comments later on Monday, Netanyahu expanded that warning even farther. During a tour of the north of Israel that borders Syria and Lebanon, the Israeli leader hinted that enemies in those neighboring countries should beware.

Said Netanyahu, “We want peace but we are prepared for any scenario and I suggest that no one test us.”

Closer to home, Prime Minister’s Office spokesman Ofir Gendelman tweeted about the death of the terrorist that killed Rabbi Shevach and the disturbing response from the Palestinians. “The Palestinians are celebrating today as a hero the terrorist who murdered an Israeli father of 6 last month and was killed last night,” tweeted Gendelman. “Get this — a terrorist who killed a father of 6 in cold blood is A HERO for Palestinians. That’s why we don’t have peace.”
