The Hamas terrorist group has promised to work with the International Criminal Court in any war crimes claims against Israel, but also made it clear they will continue to support terrorism—which is as a war crime itself. Hamas senior official Khalil al-Hayya told the Ma’an News Agency that they were ready to assist in the anti-Israel legal fight at the ICC and expected to win.

At the same time, Hayya also told Ma’an this did not mean they would give up what Ma’an termed “armed resistance”, a euphemism for terror attacks. Along those lines, Hamas has praised the stabbing of multiple Israeli soldiers last week.

The official website of the Hamas armed wing, the Izzedeen al-Qassam Brigades, reported a statement from a Hamas official calling the attack “heroic.”

Hamas spokesman Husam Badran was quoted as saying the Palestinians were ready to continue “resistance” against Israel in spite of the ongoing security coordination between the Israelis and the Palestinian Authority.

He also called for the PA to permit terror attacks in Judea and Samaria—also known as the West Bank.

Hamas acts as the primary authority in the Gaza Strip, although technically they reached a cooperative joint government deal with the West Bank-leading Fatah group last year.
